I’m Francisco Lourido, a portuguese planner & architect.

Since the age of 9 that I take pictures. I started with a little plastic 24 mm camera, so little the roll didn’t fit entirely in the body of the camera. How I loved that camera… I started to take pictures of me playing with my friends and pictures of the countryside where I lived. I kept developing my taste for photography during my teenage years when I could raise the necessary amount to buy the camera of my dreams, the Nikon F90x SLR. By that time I also learned what I could about developing and printing in black and white. Wow!!! How great was that?

Later, I took advantage of a pause in my college career, while changing courses, and started to work for a portuguese local newspaper called Imenso Sul, as a photojournalist. Those where great times!

Today, I just want to reconnect with my creative side and put my hands in everything I can, being it photography, painting or sculpture. My connection with art is getting deeper and deeper and the urge to create stronger and stronger.

I hope my work resonates with you and that it can convey the feelings and emotions I’m experiencing while conceiving it.
